Philips Hue Essential A19 (Thread/Matter)
This is the bulb I didn’t expect Hue to ship: a budget-friendly A19 that finally brings Matter over Thread into the Hue lineup. I tested it side-by-side in Apple Home, and the overall color quality still felt very “Hue,” especially for the price. Just know that if you pair it via Matter, you’re giving up the Hue app and Adaptive Lighting.

Cons
- -No Hue app access when paired via Matter to Apple Home
- -Adaptive Lighting in Apple Home was not supported over Matter in my testing
- -Hue packaging/manuals don’t clearly call out Thread
