Nanoleaf is appealing when you want Thread and you don’t want a hub, and the app is useful with some similar features to Hue. But in my side-by-side color tests, it often leaned toward that washed-out look I’ve seen from other budget lighting. Also, the Thread A19 versions have been getting harder to find, and I’m not excited about the shift toward Matter-over-Wi‑Fi.
