Hue Bridge
The Hue Bridge is the classic example of a proprietary hub that usually exists because the products are great. In my Homey Pro test, every Hue bulb connected directly over Zigbee, which means the Bridge is one of the easier hubs to potentially ditch. Whether you should depends on what features you rely on and how you like to manage your lighting.
