The Aqara T2 was the surprise of this comparison. In my side-by-side tests it held its own, and in reds/oranges it sometimes looked more vibrant than Hue—at a price that makes saving money feel a lot less painful. The fact that it can do Thread or Zigbee is a big deal if you’re trying to build more flexibly.
