tl;dr; Don't do this! I would take this video as demonstration that this is possible but ... not practical. Overall performance is acceptable when you have Steam Deck connected via cable to your home network / server. But there are so many things that can go wrong and actually went badly wrong while i was tenting this - i don't recommend to get this going. iSCSI Post on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamDeck/comments/z7sh8v/how_to_connect_to_an_iscsi_disk/ - Series Playlist https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3QnZSjRPkgLd3SxBSl6JfQ1iX4SkA39d - Time Stamps 00:00 Intro 00:36 - Can i use NAS with Steam Deck? 01:46 - User "deck" password change 02:23 - Run "steamos-readonly disable" 03:05 - Update System 03:26 - Installing: cifs-utils 03:58 - Setting up SMB inside Truenas SCALE 06:32 - Amending "fstab" 12:30 - Testing with "mount -a" 13:20 - Restart Steam Deck 15:08 - Why i am not recommending this.
