In this video I take a real first look at the Nanoleaf 4D V2 (Second Generation) and I’ll be honest—this one wasn’t what I expected. I’ve been running the original 4D (V1) for about two years, and I’ve also tested the big competition from Govee (T2, T3 Lite, and I’m even testing the T3 Pro). So I’m coming into this with a pretty solid baseline of what works, what’s gimmicky, and what actually makes your TV setup feel more immersive. What surprised me is that this doesn’t feel like a basic “new LED strip” refresh. Nanoleaf clearly tried to make the whole experience smarter—especially if you’re already in their ecosystem and want syncing with other Nanoleaf lights. I talk through whether the light strip itself seems improved, and why this might be one of the best sub-$100 setups if you want that bias/ambilight-style effect for gaming and movies. The main takeaway: V2 is trying to be a bigger ecosystem upgrade, not just a minor revision, and it’s absolutely aiming to hold Nanoleaf’s spot as the best back-of-TV lighting in my home.
