Microplastics in Tazo Tea Bags! Why I No Longer Drink Tazo and Use FGO Organic Eco Friendly Tea Bags

WTF Tazo? I used to drink Tazo Passion Tea everyday until I read an article called Is Your Tea Bag Made with Plastic? https://www.becausehealth.org/plastic-in-my-tea-bag-2618934044.html I even made a video last year about how much I love Tazo Passion tea called Easy Herbal Iced Tea Recipe | How to Make Starbucks Passion Tea at Home https://youtu.be/sNLlXbOlJCY . I still think the flavor is wonderful, but the microplastics bother me! Many popular brands in the UK (like PG Tips and Yorkshire) are working on eliminating the plastic and should have plastic completely out of their tea bags soon. This can't come soon enough, since a recent study showed that one plastic tea bag can shed one billion microplastic particles into your drink! But while some brands are making a change, not all companies are as transparent. After reading this I decided to only drink brands that are Eco-Conscious and completely free of microplastics. So now I drink FGO Organics Tea. I like to use one bag of hibiscus and one bag of rooibos per 32 oz mason jar for my iced tea. You can use 2 bags of hibiscus per 32 oz jar, but in my opinion it can be a little tart. My favorite hot brews are rooibos or dandelion root on their own. Now all I can do is hope my filtered tap water isn't full of microplastics!
