From trauma to triumph: patient makes full recovery after near-fatal car accident

On July 28, 2023, Greg Jones was driving home after spending the day with his father and brother. The roads were slick from rain, and while coming around a bend, Jones lost control of the car and hydroplaned off the roadway. His car crashed into a utility pole, knocking Jones unconscious. Jones had significant injuries to his chest, including a collapsed lung and punctured ribs. He had large liver and spleen lacerations, his right femur was broken in multiple pieces, and his pelvis was split in half.
