Quite by accident, I discovered that cuttings of some herbs, flowers, and vegetables will root in water. Propagating cuttings in water is something that we do with a lot of houseplants but it's not commonly done with food plants. It's a great garden hack to know since it means that I can create a beautiful display and new plants for free! While normally I'd place these cuttings in a pot of free-draining compost, rooting them in water saves a little time and is fun to watch on your kitchen windowsill. Here's how I've propagated rosemary, sage, verbena bonariensis, and ivy-leaf geranium. 🌿 RECOMMENDED VIDEOS 🌻 Plants for Free (division method): https://youtu.be/xU5hTwhib9U 🥕 Propagate Cape Gooseberry from Cuttings: https://youtu.be/XfnphkUbpIQ 🌼 Divide Supermarket Basil into dozens of plants: https://youtu.be/Ic8rdQodSKA 🌿📕 LEARN ABOUT TANYA'S BOOK USA: https://amzn.to/3fKMij1 UK: https://amzn.to/3wkkW9g Canada: https://amzn.to/3wkkW9g More places: https://lovelygreens.com/a-womans-garden-grow-beautiful-plants-and-make-useful-things/ 🌻 See inside A Woman's Garden Book: https://youtu.be/NvV7XrQo5tw GET THE TOOLS & GEAR 🌿 Tanya's Amazon Shop* → https://www.amazon.com/shop/lovelygreens THANK YOU FOR WATCHING ✌💚 ➤ If you enjoy this video please give it a thumbs up and subscribe (thank you!) ➤Remember to TURN ON notifications to know when new videos are out.
