Wrap Dress

“[Music] hey guys welcome back to my channel so done a big H&M online order so I've got a few different summary kind of bits to take you guys through today we're going to review them see how curve friendly they are before we dive in I want to quickly recap sizing and stuff so I'm 5' 7 and generally speaking I'm about a uk1 18 but kind of varies between store so who knows um like I said have a few different bits to try on so I'll review them properly let you know the sizing fit quality all of that good stuff okay so first item I have on is this little Disney tea so I actually saw this in H&M in Portugal when we're on holiday because I quickly popped into H&M whil we were out there I saw this t-shirt wanted to get it decided against it when I saw it online I was like I just have to try it out so it's this really cute um slogan te print te whatever you want to call it says Venice Beach on it has like a little Mickey Mouse on it with a surfboard very very cute um I got this in a large and sizewise I'd say it's okay like I kind of bought it more to wear with a mum Jean like what I've got on now so I didn't want it to be big so I'd say for what I want this fits pretty well but I'd say normally I would probably size up in a t-shirt like this um but it's very cute it's ever so slightly see-through which let's be honest a cheapy from H&M in white it's kind of what you do expect um this print on stuff is actually decent quality it looks really really cute and I think this is something you could dress up or dress down pair it with a red lip and like pull out the red and the tea you could wear it with like high Ry shorts you could dress it down with like jogers leggings whatever really I thought it was just a really cute kind of Chuck on and go summer tea um so this was £12 if you like kind of graphic slogan te's and stuff H&M is a really really good place to go ve gotten loads from there before they do loads of Disney stuff I would not consider myself a Disney adult but I do love a little bit of Disney so yeah very very cute I think I'm going to keep this one I definitely don't need any more t-shirts I definitely have a thing for collecting t-shirts most of the ones I have are oversized though and I feel like this is a good I don't know comfy t-shirt to wear in summer by the way these jeans I have literally just filmed an M&S try on haul so that will be up on my channel go check that out if you like these jeans cuz brand new mum jeans these are so so comfortable and really really good quality also very curve friendly so if you're on the lookout for slum jeans go check out that video I wanted to show you this though for full transparency so I got this midi skirt um this came up really really small I honestly couldn't get it like past my hips it was way too small I thought it was very cute these kind of midi denim skirts seem to be really in right now I have tried on one previously which I think was from sabes you guys loved it I didn't so much I wanted to try a different one but yeah unfortunately this just like would not go up um it's quite straight cut that's what I was struggling with is like getting it over my bum I just wanted to share it as a reminder that with H&M and stuff sometimes their sizing can be really off any kind of Cheaper brand High Street store it's not you it's the clothes but this is a very cute skirt it got in a size 18 I'd say it came up quite small um and this was £28 but if you're on the lookout for a light wash kind of midi D skirt then I'll link this below just in case you guys know the drill I'll link literally everything down below next up I have on this top so I'm kind of like mixed emotions about this so I love the kind of shape of this I'm always on the lookout for nice summery tops that are going to kind of accentuate my curves nice and floaty that I think are going be really cute this is a chiffon fabric so as you can see it's very very seethrough um I love the sleeve on this has like a really nice little floaty sleeve which I think is really really really flattering um and it also kind of has this like rouched bit around the waist so it's like elasticated so it kind of cines you in and it's really comfortable it says touch on the short side maybe I don't know I got this in a large I think this would look better in a bigger size I just think around this bit here it would look a bit better in a larger size um and it is more see-through than I thought it was going to be to be perfectly honest I think if you were to wear it with a nude bra you'd probably be fine but yeah it is pretty see-through love the color though and it's just something a little bit different I've got it on with the mom Jean St I think it looks really really cute um and a good way just to kind of like dress this outfit up and obviously you could easily kind of give it a little tuck in there put a cute little belt on or something yeah you could wear this with Lads of different things things so very very cute I think maybe just a size bigger and a nude bra would be better so like I said I got this in a size large I can never remember what the size bands are for H&M I would say this is like true to size for a large um but I just think I would prefer it maybe a touch bigger and this was £18 which I don't think is a bad price point but but it is kind of see-through so I don't know tell me what you guys think I don't know if I'm being too harsh on this or not next up I have another top which I was so excited about but in reality it's struggle City around the boobs um but I'm going to show it to you anyway so it's this kind of wrapover blouse has this kind of peplum detail which I love as a curvy girl you want to kind of have a bit of room around your boob cinch in your waist and give you that hourglass shape I just think it's so flattering I feel like not enough places do this kind of cut um so it has these like sleeves which are elasticated and they have this really nice kind of detailing around them here perfect color for summer as well um and it's just nice kind of thin shirt material the issue is is that it looks like a wrap but it's not like a true wrap it's it's actually stitched up I've got quite a bit of room here but the issue is they've stitched it here and as you can see there's not quite enough room for my boobs I have thought about sizing up but My worry is it's then going to be too big here um so it's a struggle of like shopping at cheaper places where I feel like they don't really when they do bigger sizes they don't make them as curve friendly so it's really annoying and I have thought oh could I maybe unpick this stitching and restitch it in a different place I don't know if that's going to work or not though um I do really like this and I think this is such a great summer stable but just be aware if you have bigger boobs maybe go up a size this one I got in a large so I might just reorder in a big size and just see how I get on with it and this was 28 one thing to make you guys aware of by the way um there is a promotion I don't know how long they do it for but they seem to do it all the time download the H&M app because quite often you get 15% off of your order I did that for this time and I got 15% off and it saves you so much money so definitely check out the app if you are going to do an order and also if you're not already an H&M like Club member I think they call it it's free to sign up it's literally free but every time you make an order you get points and then when you have like a c C amount of points you get a voucher kind of like having a boots card um so definitely worth it and sometimes they do like member only sales especially on the home stuff which is so so nice so you don't want to miss out on that as well but anyway very cute do like it's not quite right for me but I think I'll get a bigger size next up I've got this dress on which is like hideous but I just checked and I checked like the sizing chart so a large is a UK 16 to 18 which I I think is the problem for me is like I'm an 18 like an 18 borderline 20 so I think a large me H&M is just not it but then I think extra large could be borderline too big and that's what I hate about their sizing is like the difference between the 16 and 18 is quite big so to have one size that accommodates both doesn't make any sense to me but anyway this is just evident of that basically so I saw this wrap dress thought it'd be really cute in reality this is horrendous it's so so so see-through it's way too small I did like the idea of this cuz it's like a proper wrap dress that you can tie up they're normally really flattering I don't think this colors for me um but this just feels so cheap and gross like I like the idea of it and it looks so nice online but what doesn't um yeah this is going straight back it's a large it's not big enough for me I need an extra large in this um and this was like £28 which is just not for the quality of this it's just not worth it even if it was the right size as soon as I got it out of the packet I was like ew this is this is not it so yeah I'm going to return this okay last up I have another dress on so this one is a texture dress firstly I love the color um I thought this would be a really good just Chuck on and go type dress for summer it has this twist detail here which I thought would be great to kind of like cinch you in has a slit here which is just like ridiculously high does not need to be that High um this is also a large the sizing like I know this dress isn't meant to be tight but I just feel like a sack of potatoes in this like it's just not it's not sitting on me right and it's like I don't know it's so unflattering it's just so so unflattering um yeah I I like the idea of this because this has this nice textured material which I think is really flattering like especially if you're a bit more self-conscious about lumps and bumps and stuff I feel like this is a really forgiving fabric but do you see what I mean it's just like big and shapeless but I don't think as smaller size is going to look right so this is a large again like I haven't changed the sizing this is also a large and this is why it's just so difficult ordering from cheaper stores online because the sizing is all over the place um the sleeve length is just also feels very weird to me it's kind of stopping like on my elbow um and also this was not cheap this was 38 pound 38 so yeah like for an H&M just everyday CH on dress this is not it the length on this is quite good actually but yeah like do you see what I mean like I've got CH rub shorts on but why does the slit need to be that big in the dress I mean it doesn't so yeah really disappointing so that is everything that I ordered I'm not going to lie that was probably one of the most disappointing H&M hauls I have ever done I do love H&M but like it's just so hit and miss with stuff so so hit and miss I think it's awkward for me at the moment because I think I'm probably just between like a large and an extra large so I think I struggle with the sizing and to be honest it's all over the place I think everyone struggles but yeah there was nothing in there that I was like wow what find um like I said I have just done a marks dis Spenser haul go check that out there's some much better stuff in that and just generally speaking I think for the price point most of the stuff for Marks and Spencers is more expensive but it is just far better quality and just much better fitting so if you are on the lookout for sum of stuff I'd recommend going over there and checking that video out if you guys have any recommendations for any other places you want me to do try on Halls leave a comment down below give me your recommendations
