Hey friends! In this decorate-with-me, I’m sharing my first official decorating video in our new house, and my whole goal was to make everything feel warm, cozy, and like “home” without overdoing it. I keep it pretty simple and focus on the kitchen and the black cabinet in our dining area, plus I sprinkle in a few subtle Valentine’s touches that still feel neutral and usable beyond February. One of my biggest cozy-home tips is fresh flowers—just adding roses to the dining table instantly warms up a space, especially in the winter. I style the black cabinet with decor books for height, faux dried-look roses (because I love dried florals more than typical faux), wood vases, and wood taper candle holders. I also add romantic vibes with a framed wedding photo, a mauve marble tray, and pretty tinted glassware that can be decor but also functional. In the kitchen, I build little moments with breadboards, cookbooks, marble pieces, and a few heart-shaped accents, then finish the island with a statement vase and a candle that ties in with my Valentine hand towels. And then we have the fun part—turning a leftover Christmas tree into a Valentine tree with bows, plus decorating Mila’s playroom and room with garlands, books, and sweet little details.
