Hey y’all! In this video I’m sharing all of our party prep for my son’s Harry Potter inspired 8th birthday party. I walk you through the main food/eating setup in the kitchen (super simple and kid-friendly), plus all the budget-friendly decor I used to make the house feel totally “wizard” without going overboard. I show the Hogwarts tablecloths, the Harry Potter plates/napkins, dessert plates, and the spiral hanging decorations that were honestly such an easy win because they fill up space fast and come down quick. I also share the fun details that make the theme feel real—like Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans (kids can grab a few… at their own risk), house-colored “wands,” and my favorite Halloween pieces I already had that worked perfectly for Harry Potter. Then I take you outside for our Quidditch game setup with the hoops, brooms, and foam balls, plus a couple backyard/driveway ideas to keep kids busy and safe. At the end, I share birthday present inspiration for an 8–9 year old boy, especially if your kid is in their Harry Potter era—think Legos, illustrated books, a couple games, and even some 3D puzzles.
