Please be aware of your valuables and keep them safe when traveling . NAIA T3 - International Airport MY WEDDING RINGS WERE STOLEN — Here's what really happened. [The truth] ‼️ There Are Thieves Inside The Airport Wearing Uniforms. On June 28, my jewelry box containing our wedding rings, a diamond necklace, and earrings went missing at NAIA Terminal 3, after our flight from Manila to Singapore. We noticed it was missing when we arrived in Singapore. I understand that maybe the jewelry box accidentally fell from my hand-carry bag. Maybe it was misplaced. I’m not here to deny that possibility. But what made everything worse was what happened after it was found. Maybe I wasn’t as attentive as I should’ve been — and I take responsibility for that. But does that mean my things deserved to be stolen? Of course not! Palagi na lang ba tayo mangangamba kapag papasok ng airport? Did I give them the CHANCE to steal? No, they CHOSE to steal. This is basic integrity. 😩 There’s a system for this — Lost and Found exists for a reason. Once the box was in their hands, it became their responsibility to protect it, not hide it, pass it around, or take what wasn’t theirs. Airport personnel are in the position of public trust and have access due to their role. We reached out to CebuPac aircraft and Changi Airport, maybe we left it there. But no items found. So we reached out to NAIA T3. It was hard, Lost and Found said they don't have the item. I posted my missing jewelry box on FB group DIY Travel Philippines and a credible witness (CebuPac Agent said she saw my jewelry box at the gate 104 table). This was our main lead. So, I immediately flew back to PH. CCTV later revealed that several airport staff from Cebu Pacific, Quickstar Security airline, and Jetstar found and passed around the jewelry box — yet no one turned it over to Lost & Found at NAIA T3. Between June 28, 4PM to June 29, 7AM, more than 10 different personnel were caught handling the box. They each had a chance to do the right thing, but they didn’t. This marked the beginning of a series of mishandlings that led to the disappearance of both rings. From simple Lost and Found case, it became theft. It was clearly left unattended at Gate 104 podium. One staff after another opened and handled it: First few Cebu Pacific staff saw both rings inside. After few hours, only one ring was seen. Eventually, no rings were found at all. Our wedding rings have been stolen somewhere in the chain of airport staff mishandling and negligence. I flew back to Manila, stayed for weeks, and spent over 36 hours reviewing CCTV footage and assisting in the investigations/questioning of the involved staff— all while juggling work and emotional stress. On July 8, my jewelry box was finally recovered by the Airport Police— but with only the earrings and the necklace left. The staff member who surrendered the item later confessed to taking it home for personal use. She stated there were no rings inside when she found the jewelry box. I was losing hope and patience, both rings were still missing. The APD called all the staff involved into one room, and I announced to everyone that I am giving them only 24 hours to return both rings as a last chance. If not, I will press charges against all staff involved, their airline companies, and agencies for gross negligence and qualified theft. We have all the CCTV footage, evidence, and statements. Later that night, the truth was slowly coming to light. On July 13th, a security staff member admitted he stole my husband’s ring. Today July 14th, I received an anonymous text saying my ring was hidden under the table at Gate 104. The APD quickly responded and recovered it. After over two weeks of investigation, all items were finally recovered. The APD officers and CCTV team helped solve this case piece by piece. They brought all suspects for questioning relentlessly. I saw how APD officers were focused on my case and each one of them acted quickly and meticulously. They followed every lead, never gave up and never dismissed me. - Airline staff member, took my jewelry box and hid it for days in her own house for personal use instead of reporting it to Lost and Found office. - Security airline, stole my husband's ring and surrendered it - And there is still an unidentified person who took my wedding ring before it was quietly returned. He/she sent me an anonymous text message that it was placed under the table at Gate 104 — the same gate where this painful search began. We all learned our lessons — and I’ve also learned to keep my valuables close and always within sight. This journey was painful, but I was never alone — and for that, I give all glory back to Him. I’m only sharing my personal experience in the hope of raising awareness and not to malign or accuse anyone without due process. This information is based on truth and police investigations. #philippines #travel
