In this video I’m doing a little bit of Valentine’s Day decorating, but in my usual way—very subtle, very organic, neutral, and intentional. I’m sharing two easy DIYs that add a soft, cozy nod to the season without anything bold or overly themed. If you love natural textures and warm, muted tones, these ideas blend right into a neutral home and still feel special. First, I show you how I aged inexpensive terracotta pots to get that worn, vintage look (without paying $47). I use a simple, very forgiving technique with watered-down paint, baking soda for texture, and a paper towel dabbing method to keep it natural and streak-free. Then I make moss heart topiaries—because you guys know I love, love, love using moss. It adds that pretty organic texture and a bit of “green warmth” that makes a space feel calm. DIY #2 is a jute garland with air-dry clay hearts. I imprint the clay with doilies for a vintage pattern, let them dry for 24 hours, and string them with jute around a moss heart wreath for a soft mantel moment. After that, I sprinkle in a few simple touches around my kitchen, coffee table, and even overlay a beaded heart on my existing winter front door wreath.
