My goal is always the same: keep it beautiful, functional, and inviting, with just enough festive touches to make everyday moments feel a little more magical while we’re cooking and baking. I lean hard into greenery, warm woods, and soft lighting, and I’m also bringing in a sweet gingerbread theme (because it’s nostalgic and honestly so fun—especially for kids in the kitchen). I start by breaking up all the white with a simple wreath, then layer in darker wood tones (like my vintage-inspired cutting board DIY), a pretty lamp with a jewel-toned glass shade, and a few favorites like my marble cheeseboard and the cutest gingerbread house cookie jar. For the island, I keep it practical but add an easy “sprig of something special” using leftover greenery in a pedestal vase—one of my favorite simple ideas. Then I finish with a rustic, natural dining table centerpiece (trees, pine cones, twinkle lights) and a cozy holiday coffee bar with nutmeg pod stems, dusted gold eucalyptus, a mirror to brighten the space, and festive gingerbread espresso cups for that final holiday glow.
