In this Christmas Front Door Decorations 2025 video, I’m giving our front porch entryway a simple little glow up before we host for the holidays. This is my last Christmas video of the year (I cannot believe it), so I wanted it to feel warm, welcoming, and classic—without overcomplicating anything. I’m layering textures, adding a few cozy festive touches, and focusing on pieces that make a big impact for not a lot of effort. I start with the base: swapping my old black-and-white striped mat for a wide gingham doormat from Amazon. My entryway isn’t very wide, so going wall-to-wall actually makes it feel bigger because it draws your eye out. Then I layer my natural “hello” mat on top for that rustic, warm look. From there, I add two light-up lamp posts on each side of the door (and I switch the silver bows to gold to warm everything up), plus my Target lanterns with timer candles and my DIY greenery swags with burlap poinsettias and burgundy ribbon for an earthy, cozy feel with just a little sparkle. To finish it off, I anchor the space with our little Christmas fox (my son loves foxes), hang my DIY wreath from last year with bells and ribbon, and add greenery planters with lit branches. Everything gets plugged into a timer so it all glows at dusk—my favorite part for that inviting holiday curb appeal.
