About This Video

In this video I’m sharing four Christmas DIYs that give you that high-end, designer holiday look—without paying Pottery Barn, Anthropologie, or McGee & Co. prices. I love pulling inspiration from those sites and then asking, “Okay… how can we recreate this at home on a budget and still make it look really elevated?” These are all doable, affordable projects that add a cozy, luxe feel with warm, classic holiday touches. I start with an extra-large satin tree topper bow (the kind you see for $80–$100+), but I’ll show you how to make it with fabric, a glue gun, and simple stuffing so it looks full and finished. Next are my Pottery Barn–inspired potted berry trees for that striking pop of red—I’ll walk you through how I work the stems around the foam and how I fill gaps for a fuller look (plus what I’d do differently next time). Then I make a gold metallic branch centerpiece using branches I literally collected on a walk, keeping the pinecones natural for contrast. And finally, my favorite: the tension rod garland in the entryway—layered garlands, lights, ornaments, and that criss-cross method that keeps the center looking nice and full.
