In this video, I’m decorating my reading journal and setting up my very first monthly update of the year—starting with January. I pick a few of my favorite reads from the month and turn each one into its own cozy little spread, with layers of scrapbook paper, washi, and letter stickers. It’s very much a “make tea and journal with me” kind of vibe, and I walk you through how I choose colors and textures to match each book’s atmosphere. I also share the specific supplies I’m using for each spread (like the black-and-brown paper + gold letters for “Katabasis,” and all the waterlily/sky washis for “Six Crimson Cranes”). For “A Witch’s Guide to Magical Innkeeping,” I lean into that cottagecore café feeling with pre-cut washi stickers and a mix of tapes I’ve collected over time.
