I went with the Samsung 9100 Pro 4TB because it’s fast, it’s huge, and it’s ready for whatever “PCIe Gen 5 storage finally matters” future we keep hearing about. It’s a super nice OS and game drive today, and if DirectStorage ever becomes more than a PowerPoint bullet, you’re covered. Also, it doesn’t feel wildly worse value per gig than slower drives right now, which is saying something.
