It's not that hard to stop a Trane

They say it's hard to stop a Trane. But after just 6 years, a few drops of water are all it took to kill my control board. Then it happened again, two weeks later. If you have a Trane S9V2 like I do, and it's installed in your basement, there's a good chance the draft inducer fan motor housing will develop a leak. And as it's directly above the unprotected control board, with delicate electronics, the dripping water will likely break something given enough time. Luckily the parts for my repair are still covered under warranty, but the labor is not.
