In this video I’m breaking down my Lumix S5 camera rig and showing you how I actually have it built in the real world—what’s mounted where, how it’s powered, and how I keep it compact without turning it into a total brick. The whole point here is a practical filmmaking setup that I can grab, balance, and shoot with, while still having proper monitoring and clean audio. The big focus is the PDmovie LiDAR autofocus setup with the Live Air 4 Smart motor, especially paired with a vintage Helios lens. I show how I’m using LiDAR to get more reliable focus behavior on glass that normally wouldn’t give you any modern AF help. On top of that, I walk through my monitoring with the Osee Lilmon 5 and my audio chain using the RØDE Wireless Pro, because if your video looks good but your audio is trash, none of it matters. Finally, I cover how I power everything with a Neewer V-mount battery and how I manage cables and mounting so the rig stays clean, balanced, and actually usable on a shoot.
