How To Flesh A Raccoon Skin
Trapping 2012 Fleshing Raccoon Skin. Shane Reed shows how he prepares, fleshes and dries a Raccoon skin. The first step is to prep the hide by combing all the burrs and pebbles out of the fur. Second step is to put your hide over your fleshing board and using a fleshing knife, scrape the fat and remaining flesh off the hide carefully so you do not cut any holes in the skin. Third step is once you have all the flesh off your raccoon, you want to place over a drying board and pin the edges of the hide down and then dry.
