Thank you to PCBWay for sponsoring this video. Check out PCBWay at the following referral link: https://www.pcbway.com/setinvite.aspx?inviteid=478547 The M5Stamp C3 from M5Stack is an ESP32-C3 microcontroller board featuring WiFi and Bluetooth LE connectivity. There are plenty of features of this board focussed towards the IoT crowd and other industrial automation uses. The M5Stamp C3 uses the Espressif’s ESP32-C3 RISC-V microcontroller and has 4MB of on-board flash storage it and plenty of connectivity through SPI, I2C and UART. It is fairly a compact board which measures in at 34mm x 20mm x 4.6mm. It weighs in at 3.8 grams. You can program this board by using the Arduino IDE or by using Espressif’s ESP IDF. In this video we show you how to setup and use the Arduino IDE to program the M5Stamp C3. The Espressif ESP32 C3 chip that powers this board. This is a 32-bit RISC-V single core processor which runs at 190MHz. It has 384 KB of ROM and 400 KB of SRAM. There is also 4MB of flash memory. In terms of interfaces this chip supports 3 SPI, 2 UART, 1 I2c and 1 I2S controllers. There are two 12 bit analogue to digital converters with up to 6 channels. There is also RSA-3072-based secure boot and the AES-128-XTS-based flash encryption features. In terms of wireless connectivity, there is 2.4ghz wifi supporting 802.11 b, g and n protocols with data rates up to 150 Mbps. And with respect to Bluetooth we get Bluetooth 5 low energy with data rates of 125 kilobytes per second, 500 kilobytes per second, 1 and 2 megabytes per second.
