In this video I’m doing my first look at the Simplicity Winter 2026 pattern release, and I’m also tying it into the BHM Pattern Designers Challenge 26. This is very much a “let’s look at what’s new and talk through what I’d actually sew” kind of chat—because I’m always thinking about what will work in real life, what will be fun to construct, and what’s worth adding to my pattern stash. I also shout out Sewnaturaldane and the BHM Pattern Designers Challenge info, because if you’re looking for a structured way to get inspired and actually make something, the challenge is a great jump-off point. Even when I’m just doing a first look, I’m paying attention to design lines, styling potential, and whether a pattern feels like it’ll be a smooth sew or a “muslin first” situation.
