I referenced the HIFIMAN Ananda Stealth because the Serene’s closed-back soundstage is shockingly open in a similar way. In my comparison, the Ananda sounds airier and brighter, and it’s better at pulling out tiny diminishing details. The Serene hits harder with bass authority and can present depth more obviously, but it also needs more volume steps on my DX260 to match loudness.
