STOP Overthinking - Posting Your First Video

Hi, I’m Larissa. I’ve decided to stop overthinking and just start posting. The company I worked for over the last five years shut down in November, and since then, I’ve been doing everything I can to become a full-time content creator. (I hate the word influencer, so let’s go with content creator.) I actually had the idea to document this transition back in November but… I didn’t. Until now. One thing about me? Consistency. I’ve got that locked in. What I struggle with? Overthinking. Before filming this, I almost did a deep dive into SEO, YouTube keywords, and analytics—trying to figure out the perfect way to make this video searchable. But then I realized… I just need to make the content my beautiful brain already came up with. So here we are. A Little About Me: • I worked in the dental field for five years. • I’ve actually been making YouTube videos since 2008 (but this channel? Since 2017). • If you scroll back, you’ll see my college era—featuring a blonde hair phase that we will never speak of again. My Passion: Roller Skating & Content Creation On Instagram, my content is all about roller skating. I picked it because I know the key to growing online is consistency, and skating is something I can show up for every day. But here? On YouTube? This is where we’ll hang out. Vlogs. Real talk. The ups and downs of building a full-time creator career. The Biggest Mental Block I Had For the longest time, I told myself, “My life isn’t cool enough to vlog.” But that’s a lie. We do cool things every day—even in the “mundane.” If you can find a creative way to share it, why not make a video about it? So, that limiting belief? Gone.
