Why Raising the Minimum Wage is a Bad Idea | LET'S DO THIS INSTEAD!

Raising minimum wage is a bad idea. I know it sounds crazy but let me clarify before I get DRAGGED! I want to discuss the minimum wage debate and offer pros and cons to a $15 minimum wage increase. What you will typically hear people who say minimum wage is bad say is that it will force prices to appreciate which I don’t totally agree with. On the other hand you hear people advocate for $15 minimum wage because they believe it will close the wage gap and offer a livable wage that people deserve, after all $15/hr is really only slightly above $30k.. BEFORE TAXES! While there are great points to be made on both sides I believe that we are not targeting the true problem which is the fact that so many people have to take these low paying, minimum wage jobs because there are NO OTHER OPTIONS. Raising minimum wage would put a bandaid on this issue, but it will by no means actually solve the true problem which is a system that encourages debt, overspending and artificially raising asset prices and a nation of people who for whatever reason do not have the resources to get a more skillful job that would command a higher salary.
