Would you believe that there are plenty of household name companies that have NEVER HAD PROFIT?? Not even on dollar... and we thought only individuals had bad spending habits! These unprofitable companies have seemingly found the cheat code to life because they have snuck into everyone's lives and have become extremely popular all while not being able to even keep one dollar of revenue to theirselves. The real winners here seem to be the private equity and venture capitalist here. How private equity makes money is the only reason that this odd phenomenon is even able to exist because they subsidize the losses of these big companies and they cash out in an IPO.
