Textured Mermaid Tail Resin Art -#YT100 (200)

The Sweet Shy Mermaid swims off the edge of the canvas and all you see is a glimpse of the rich deep colors of the Scales and Fin of the tail. For the Textured Mermaid Tail I used Champagne Mica Flakes tinted with Baja Blue and Patina Alcohol Inks and leftover Dripped Resin cut into strips for the Fin. I wanted a 3D Effect for the Tail and Fin so I poured the resin background first and allowed it to cure, then attached the Mica Flakes with a layer of Modge Podge under the Flakes (not on top). I cut up the strips of Gold Resin Drippings and also attached them with Modge Podge. I then used the Baja Blue and Patina Alcohol Inks to tint the Mica Flakes just basically outlining the edges and center but leaving a little bit of the Champagne color to divide each scale. Layered on Resin mixed with the Alcohol Inks and some Blink It sparkles And BamLaLaBoom! A beautiful mermaid tail swimming across the canvas. I hope you enjoyed this Video! So I used Alcohol Inks to add some color to the Mermaid Tail. I like how it turned out But it certainly is not the depth of color and as beautiful and Leslie’s new Mica products.
