Start to Finish How to Bling a Glass Jar into a Kleenex Bless You Jar

In this video I am demonstrating how to take an old glass jar and add resin, glitter, alcohol inks, and mica powder to bling it up and make a gorgeous Kleenex Tissue Jar. Starting with a old jar, I cleaned it with Denatured Alcohol, spray painted it white and allowed it to dry for several hours. Next I added 30 mls of Faux Rizzle Resin (1:1 ratio) and then sprinkled in the Flame Kissed Heart Fireglow Metallic Pink glitter and the Crystal Diamond white glitter. Added a little heat to warm the surface of the resin so that it will cause the glitter to move and create a swirled effect. Let this spin overnight while it cured. Next added another layer of 30 mls Faux Rizzle resin. I added the Shattered Opal Chunky Mix glitter directly onto approximately 2.5mls of resin to create a thick mixture and using my stir stick wiped diagonal lines and then spread the chunky mix across the surface again using the stir stick. Using another 2.5 mls of resin a added some Bling it Gold Sparkle Mica pigment (https://www.colourarte.com/) and streamed that across as well. This turned overnight to allow all to cure and then we are ready for the vinyl. Using Pink Pearl Vinyl from Cricut, I cut out “Bless You” and applied transfer tape to the front of the vinyl. Placed the vinyl where I wanted it on the jar and then smoothed it across the surface of the jar making sure there was no trapped air underneath. Add the final layer of resin (30 mls) and using 1 drop of Brea Reese Pink Rose Alcohol Ink and 1 drop of Pinata White Alcohol Ink to 2.5 mls of resin creating a milky pink color and streamed that over the entire surface of the cup. This again was allowed to spin and cure overnight. The final step. Using stiff felt I traced a circle and cut it out and then cut the center out and placed the felt inside the jar ring. Using the tube type Kleenex brand tissue, I gently rolled some of the tissue up and placed it in the jar, pulling the top tissue through the center hole in the felt and screwed the ring lid onto the jar. Voila’ a gorgeous blinged up tissue jar that currently graces my desk at work. She makes me smile and everyone thinks she is cute.
