This video is part 2 of making a Clock from a Vinyl Record wherein I will add the clock elements to finish the project. In Part 1 on this 2 part video I demonstrated how I prepped the record in order to use Art Resin mixed with Pigment Paste, Mica Powders and Luster Pigment Powders to create a stunning Clock face. Now its time to add the clock mechanism, hands and numbers to finish up this Wall Clock work of Art. Part 1 Video link here: https://youtu.be/NaAwMYfGNRE Supplies needed: • 1 – clock mechanism with a ¼” shaft (Note: these usually come with a set of clock hands but they are quite small and I wanted hands that would enhance the visual overall look of the clock) I purchased from Hobby Lobby. This will include the washers and nuts that are needed as well. • set of hands I used the 4 11/16” hands in Gold purchased at Hobby Lobby • Set of 1” clock numbers (I chose gold and these were also purchased from Hobby Lobby) • 1 AA battery • Wrench to tighten the first nut that holds the clock mechanism securely to the record. I also used my Xact Knife to remove the little bit of resin that was in the spindle hole of the record. You can use a drill but I did not want to take a chance of causing any damage to the record or my resin design. That’s it. That is all I used to finish up Vinyl Record Clock. This is not just a wall clock, this is a Work of Art Wall Clock.
