In this video I will using Luster Pigments Pink Mink and Wild Coral mixed in resin to create a beautiful shimmery effect with splashes of 007 Gold and a Chunky Glitter base. Absolutely Stunning results. Starting on a 20 oz Stainless Steel Tumbler I lightly sanded to break the coating applied by the manufacturer. Cleaning it with Alcohol and then spraying with a Matte White Spray Paint for a base. With the cup turner on, I first applied a layer of Clear Resin and today I'm using Pro Marine Resin which is a 1:1 ratio. For this size cup I started with 10 ml (then later in the video mixed approximately 10 ml more for better coverage.) Applied a little heat from my torch just to pop any bubbles and to allow the resin to smooth out. Next I mixed the Luster Pigments and the 007 Gold with the resin and instead of pouring the resin onto the cup, I used my stir stick to apply and my hand to smooth and blend the Pink Mink and the Wild Coral. Right at the end of the resin working time again using my stir stick I drizzled or streamed the 007 Gold diagonally across the cup surface. Boom Shakalaka! Gorgeous Shimmering perfectly blended Ombre with Gold Highlights. In my second round of resin I added a little Chunky Rainbow glitter mixed with Fine Gold Glitter just around the base of the cup. Perfect amount of Bling to bring this tumbler to a finish. If you have not tried Tumbler art yet, let me just tell you I am hooked. Just a great way to express your art on a everyday functional Item!
