Instead of Hydro Dipping, I am trying a new technique for me of Hydro GLIDING. I rolled the hydro stainless steel bottle on TOP of the water to pick up the paint in a striped pattern. The results are really cool! I started with a 30 oz Double Walled Stainless Steel Hydro Water Bottle and I taped off a section down the side and across the bottom and used Rust-oleum White Flat spray paint to prep the rest of the bottle. After that white paint cured, I removed the tape and put it along the edges of the white painted area and sprayed the previous taped off section a Regal Blue (Rust-oleum) Using a large roasting pan I filled with water and sprayed Red and white spray paint (Rust-oleum) in strips on the surface of the water and then laid the bottle flat on top of the water and rolled or glided it across the surface of the water picking up the paint in an abstract striped pattern. Using my air gun I dried the surface of the bottle. I used a little of the Red and White spray paint in cups and defined the stripes using a rolled up coffee filter and allowed it to set for 24 hours before adding a layer of Faux Rizzle Resin (1:1 ratio) onto the surface. I used a minuscule amount of resin and Diamond Dust Mica powder mixed with a drop of Sapphire Blue Pinata Alcohol Ink to coat the blue section of the bottle and give it a shimmer.
