This is an experiment using Anita's Glow Medium mixed with Florescent Glow Acrylic paints to see what the consistency will be without Floetrol or water. FAIL. Next I wanted to see what results would be on the Florescent Paint by using Glow. Not sure but I think this did have a weird result which you will see at the end of the video. I have tried using this Glow Medium before in regular Acrylic Paint but I haven't figured out what the benefit is as of yet. Perhaps I'm using it wrong. Somebody please enlighten me. The first thing that happened is that the Medium did not thin the acrylics enough to pour, so I ended up adding Floetrol and water anyway to get a consistency needed to do a pour. The next thing is that the Anita's Medium changed the vibrancy of the florescents so that they appeared pastel. Not good for a glow in the dark project! I used a base of Artist Loft Flow Acrylic White which may also encouraged the pastel look and if I do this again I will not use that as a base, or I might would try without a base at all. I used my black light while pouring 1) because I wanted to see how it looked as I poured and 2) BECAUSE IT'S FUN to pour paint using a black light. So the dried results are okay. Nothing to get over excited about. Then I turned on the black light for the dried result photo and it's pretty cool, so I like that. But the really weird photo op came when I turned off the black light and no other lights were on and the record glowed green! I think that is a result of the Anita's Medium mixed with the Florescent paints. Anyway another cool effect I wasn't expecting. Will I try this again. Oh absolutely!!! Stay tuned for Part 2 of actually turning this into a clock face. #YT100Challenge #42 of 100 Videos.
