I will be embellishing this acrylic pour by adding Mica Flakes to create a winding trail through the fall Forest. For the tree trunks and branches I am using Acrylic paints brushed directly onto the acrylic pour, in colors of Burnt Umber, Gray, and Payne's Grey. I added Pinata Alcohol Inks in colors of Calabaza Orange, Sunbright Yellow and Rainforest Green to tint the Mica Flakes so they would resemble fallen leaves on the walking trail. Using the same Acrylic Light Blue paint in the original Four Cup Flip and Drag video (i link attached) I brought the skyline down into the painting to meet the walking path and some to peak through the branches and leaves of the trees. Using a dabbing techniques I added Acrylic paints in Vivid Red Orange, Med. Yellow, and Hooker's Green to the tree tops, over parts of the branches and underneath the trees to give the painting a more realistic fall foliage appearance. For the finishing touch I used more of the tinted Mica Flakes along the bottom of the canvas for more of the "fallen leaves" look. My dilemma that you might can help me with is do I use Varnish or Resin to seal the painting? My original plan was to Resin, but now I'm waffling between the resin and the Varnish. I am thinking I might lose the textured look if I resin it. What do you think? Leave me your thoughts in the comments section below and let me know what you think would look best.
