In my previous video (https://youtu.be/ITL-dkL4z38) on the Urban EDC TiScribe-Bolt, I showed you how to swap out the springs in order to fine-tune the amount of force needed to deploy the pen. The TiScribe has way too weak of a spring, and the Tactile Turn has way too strong of one, so I think both of these pens need that mod! Today we're going to take things a step further and walk through how to TRIM the springs further, and crimp the cut edge back down. This lets you make even more fine-tuned adjustments to the spring tension, but it also lets you use longer springs that would otherwise block the full travel of the bolt. As a bonus, we're unboxing a brand new Tactile Turn Slim Mini Bolt-Action Pen! It's so, so tiny! The springs used here and in the previous video are: - OEM TiScribe: https://urbansurvivalgear.net/collections/splash-accessories/products/tiscribe-bolt-spring - OEM Tactile Turn: https://tactileturn.com/products/glider-and-mover-spring - 0.89 lb/in: https://www.mcmaster.com/1986K58/ - 1.04 lb/in: https://www.mcmaster.com/9657K66/ - 1.42 lb/in: https://www.mcmaster.com/1986K473/ Sections 00:00 Intro 00:47 Unboxing the Tactile Turn Slim Bolt-Action Pen 02:12 Slim vs Full comparison (plus TiScribe briefly) 03:44 First swapping the springs 08:28 Reasons for cutting them shorter 08:59 The mod in a nutshell 09:21 Assembling the right tools 12:36 Let's get cutting! 13:12 Re-closing the spring 16:15 Checking out the final results 18:02 More thoughts on the Slim Mini 19:01 Le fin #tactileturn #tiscribe #boltactionpen #edc #knifenerd #gearneard #geardesign #gearmod #edcpen #edcgear #edccommunity #titaniumpen
