Hey y’all, it’s Kimberly, and in this video I’m tackling some much-needed outdoor work after that hard freeze we had here in Florida. It did major damage to my front yard, and when I showed the “before” and “after,” I wanted to cry. So we made a trip to Lowe’s (and a quick stop at Walmart) to find hardy plants that can handle full sun, cold snaps, and that summertime heat. And because plants are so expensive these days, I told my hubby I’m starting small and we’re going to watch them grow—simple, budget-friendly, and realistic. Once we got the flower bed cleaned up and replanted, we installed XMCOSY solar pathway lights to brighten up the yard with no cords and no hassle. I also shared a little tip I was taught: scratch a branch down low—if you see green, it’s still alive, but if it’s brown, it’s gone. To finish the day, I styled my front porch for spring/Easter 2026, but I kept it simple since we’re expecting more rain, wind, and cool weather. I did sneak in a couple of “not a no-spend” items (those blue rabbits), and my hubby helped me redo my planters with topiary bunnies so I can reuse this setup year after year.
