I mention an air blower for moving wet pools of paint around when you want splatter or blown effects. Technically a straw can work, but I don’t recommend blowing watercolor around with your mouth—paint ingredients aren’t something I want to inhale. This tool does the job without that risk.

Pros

  • +Lets you move wet paint for splatter and special effects
  • +Safer alternative to using a straw with your mouth

Cons

  • -Extra tool purchase if you only use the effect occasionally
