The Akko MOD007 V5 HE is the board that made me say “this might be the best gaming keyboard even when not gaming.” It keeps insane HE speed (even beating the Wooting 60HE in this review) while still sounding and feeling closer to what I want from a mechanical keyboard. I daily-drove it for weeks and it’s an easy all-rounder pick if you want looks, features, and performance in one.

- -My unit’s screen seemed problematic (might be unlucky)
- -Sticky PCB foam makes tape mod basically not happening
- -Be careful opening it—the screen wire can get pulled out
