I’m heading to Japan for a full month, and this video is basically the start of that whole solo travel + skate mission. The plan is simple: explore as much as I can, film the experience, and keep skating along the way. If you’ve ever wanted to do a longer trip by yourself but didn’t know where to start, this is me jumping in and figuring it out as I go. I also break down the stuff I actually bring to make this kind of trip work—both skate gear and camera gear—because traveling with a board and filming setup is a whole different game. I’m keeping it practical: tools, parts, a bag that can handle getting dragged around, and a camera setup that’s light enough to carry but still looks good. This month in Japan is going to be park sessions, random street spots, and whatever travel moments happen in between, and I’m stoked to document all of it.
