In this video, I'll be teaching you how to steal like an artist. Stealing with (1) purpose and (2) respect (ie not passing off someone else's work as your own) is an important ability to master so you can learn new techniques as an artist. I like to "steal" via an exercise called Master Studies (also called master copies) where I take a painting by an artist I admire (in my case, usually a work in the Public Domain so I can sell my version of it if I want, something you shouldn't do with living artists) and attempting to make my own faithful recreation of it. Yeah, it's stealing. But like all great heists, it's also a learning experience where you'll be forced to improvise and troubleshoot along the way.
