We were not prepared for this. We thought our momma sows weren’t due until mid-February… but they had other plans. In the middle of a brutal Arctic blast, they went into labor early — and things went downhill fast. As of right now, we only have one survivor. This is one of the hardest moments we’ve had on the homestead. The cold was relentless, and despite doing everything we could, we lost most of the babies. On top of that, one of our nicest sows is now struggling badly, and we had no choice but to call the vet for emergency help. This video is raw, real, and heartbreaking — but it’s part of homesteading that doesn’t get talked about enough. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, and sometimes you’re just trying to save who you can. Thank you for watching, supporting us, and keeping our animals in your thoughts. ❤️ If you’re new here, this is real life on the homestead — the good and the bad.
