I Found Her Like This… Nothing We Could Do

Some days on the homestead hit harder than others. Today was one of those days. We found one of our mom sows gone, and there was nothing we could do to change the outcome. No warning, no answers—just one of those heartbreaking realities that comes with raising animals. After that, we had to shift gears and deal with another serious issue. Our big boar, Buddy, has been getting aggressive and trying to fight Percy, our kune kune boar. When boars start challenging each other, it becomes dangerous fast—for the animals and for us. This video shows the tough decisions that don’t get talked about enough. Sometimes protecting the rest of the herd means making choices you never want to make. It’s time for the big boar and another mom to move on, and that’s never easy. This isn’t an easy video to watch, but it’s real life on the homestead.
