KSN Chief Meteorologist Lisa Teachman launches weather balloon at Dodge City National Weather Servic
KSN Chief Meteorologist Lisa Teachman and National Weather Service Meteorologist Robert Bennett launched a weather balloon from Dodge City Tuesday during the KSN Summer Road Trip. The balloon holds a radiosonde, which measures atmospheric pressure, temperature, humidity, and wind data, and continuously transmits these readings via a battery-powered radio back to a ground receiving station.
