If you are a same-sex / gay couple, or a straight couple without a working womb, surrogacy might be an option for you. However, to do that you are going to need a surrogate! In the UK, you don't get to pick them thought, they have to pick you! They have all the power and, when you think about what they are doing for you, that seems only correct. This video provides everything you need to know for this stage of your journey, and suggests things to consider when looking for a surrogate. This step by step guide documents our own experiences in finding a surrogate and having a baby. This is a UK-based surrogacy journey, and the videos contain very much my own experiences. Everyone's journey will be different. But hopefully this will help you out, and if you have additional questions I am happy to try and assist - though I am not an expert - just someone who has been where you are standing and come out the other end with a beautiful new baby. An excellent source of knowledge, and one of the key reasons the process worked for us, was the agency who helped us, Surrogacy UK. Their website is here: https://surrogacyuk.org/ Good luck.
