Our Pasture-Raised Egg Chicken Setup

On our farm, raising pasture-raised egg-laying chickens is an important part of how we produce healthy food for our family and our community. Giving chickens access to fresh pasture allows them to enjoy sunshine, fresh air, and plenty of space to scratch and forage, just like chickens were meant to do. In this video, we talk about why we choose to raise our egg chickens on pasture, how it benefits the birds, and how it helps improve the land at the same time. By moving the chickens onto fresh ground, they are able to spread nutrients naturally while always having access to clean grass and a healthier environment. Raising chickens this way takes more work, but the result is happy birds, better pasture, and fresh farm eggs we’re proud to share with others.
