The big theme this year is upgrades across the board: better displays (brighter OLEDs hitting 1,000+ nits), refined hardware and cooling, and more cohesive design language across ZenBook, ProArt, and ROG. Whether you’re a student, someone focused on productivity, or you want a hybrid machine that can work and game, there’s genuinely something here that sets the tone for what laptops are going to look like in 2026. On the gaming side, I checked out the Zephyrus G14/G16 and the Zephyrus Duo. The Zephyrus lineup continues to be my favorite “work + game” hybrid, and the new ROG Nebula HDR OLED panel is the kind of upgrade you notice immediately. The Duo is the “go big” option: dual 3K 120Hz OLED touch displays, up to RTX 5090, and multiple modes (dual-screen, tent, book, etc.), but it’s definitely a plug-in-and-push-it machine. For productivity and creators, I covered ZenBook S14/S16 (ultra slim, refined metal build), the lightweight ZenBook A14/A16 with Snapdragon X2 (including a super bright A16 panel), the massively updated ZenBook Duo with dual 3K 144Hz OLEDs and a new hinge, and ProArt highlights like the GoPro-collab PX13 and the ultra-portable PZ14 tablet-style setup.
