About This Video

In this video, I’m breaking down my real-world experience with the MacBook Pro M5 after using it for the last few months—on the go, for video editing, and side-by-side with my MacBook Air. Apple kind of dropped this one quietly on the website, but performance-wise it’s another case of Apple continuously beating themselves. I’m seeing roughly a 15% CPU jump and around 30–40% on the GPU in benchmarks, plus higher bandwidth (153 GB/s) and SSD speeds that can push past 5,000 MB/s in certain situations. Some configs also get Thunderbolt 5, which matters a lot if you’re actually pairing it with the right docks and fast storage. I also talk about who should buy what right now. For me, the M5 Pro model is the perfect “one laptop” setup if you’re a professional and want a portable workhorse that’ll last years—especially for grading, exporting, and managing a ton of footage. I went silver with the nano-texture display, and even though it’s a love-it-or-hate-it thing, I personally like it for my main powerhouse machine. Then I run through the accessories I’ve been using lately—my favorite new mouse, a NAS for private storage, a Thunderbolt 5 dock, a high-output power bank, a DaVinci Resolve panel, and a portable Espresso display—to boost productivity and make travel setups way more practical.
