I’ve used a lot of Honor phones over the years, and this one is clearly built around two things: AI that actually helps day-to-day, and a camera system that’s pushing zoom photography forward—especially at night. The big headline is the 200MP telephoto that shoots 3.7x optical (about 88mm) with OIS and a larger sensor, and the whole point is getting clean, detailed shots at extreme zoom ranges when lighting is bad. I also break down the hardware and performance: a 6.71-inch OLED with 10-bit color, 120Hz, and up to 6,000 nits peak HDR brightness, plus Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (3nm), 12GB RAM, and Android 16 with MagicOS 10. The dedicated AI button sits right where my thumb naturally lands, and the AI stack goes beyond gimmicks—Gemini integration, screen suggestions, settings/photos agents, and even deepfake and voice-clone detection. On top of that, I love that Honor is leaning into cross-platform file transfers so you’re not locked into one ecosystem. Finally, I compare it to the Galaxy S25 Ultra—brightness, telephoto capability, sensor/aperture differences, and charging. With a 6,270mAh battery (global) and 100W wired / 80W wireless charging, it’s a seriously well-rounded flagship, but the ultra night zoom is the star of the show.
