I had Google Glass back in the day, and I still can’t believe it took this long for a product category like this to come back in a way that actually makes sense for everyday life. The big difference here is that these aren’t “stay at home on the couch” glasses—they’re meant to be worn out in the real world, with a practical HUD that surfaces the info you actually care about. I go over the hardware upgrades first: a more stylish, lifestyle-first design with titanium temples, a smaller frame, and comfort that surprised me right away. The display has been improved into a 3D-style presentation with two levels of information at different distances, and Even also claims virtually no loss of clarity thanks to a multi-layer lens. Battery life is a major win too—up to 48 hours, and the case adds multiple recharges. From there, I break down the features I’ve been using: a customizable dashboard (calendar, stocks, widgets), Conversate for live AI conversation support, Teleprompt for presentations, Navigate for on-glasses directions, notifications, and Quick List for on-the-go reminders. The R1 ring ties the whole ecosystem together by letting you tap/scroll/control, while also showing body stats live on the floating display.
